My name is Barbara Cross-Krauz, and after proudly serving nearly twenty-two years in the U.S. Navy, I moved my family to Ogdensburg, New York. Located directly on New York State’s international border with Canada, Ogdensburg is the only U.S. city on the St. Lawrence Seaway. This sleepy little city actually has a lot to offer. It boasts an international seaport and airport. We also have a bridge to Canada, which puts us about an hour from the Canadian capital city of Ottawa.
Ogdensburg and its surrounding areas offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. The people here are fun-loving and resilient. I will be exploring the entire region, with a light-hearted approach to joyful and healthy living from my perch upon the St. Lawrence River. I invite you to join me in spreading the good word about the North Country Region of New York State and life on the St. Lawrence River.

Hi Barbara- Thanks very much for subscribing to my blog. Ogdensburg seems to be an interesting for us to visit on our road trips.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and thanks for the follow! I’ll check out your site soon.
I was recommended to follow you as I too love on The River! My husband & I live near Kring Point. The River is the most special & beautiful place in the whole wide world.
Retired Navy Veteran, thank you for your service!!
We like to drive around KP park for fun. The river views there are so amazing! Thank you for your kind comments! 🌸
Isn’t it nice that the ice has melted? I hope you are enjoying the big ships like I am!
I agree with everything you wrote. As you like, as indeed I do, learning, you are not going to mind my explanation about the use of the word “alternative”. There is no plural to this word, it comes from Latin and means you eider do this or that. The alternative has just those two solutions and for that reason is never in plural form.

Thank you, Joanna! I think I reworded my sentence correctly. I appreciate your feedback. 💕
Hi Barb. Thanks for visiting our site. You did not introduce your handsome boy (?). My Xena is wondering about him…
His name is Loki and he thinks Xenia is the cutest little girl. But he was too shy to say so! 🎄🐾❤️🐾🎄
Xena says Loki is welcome to stop by and compliment her anytime, BOL! #schnauzersrule
It is a pleasure to meet you and please accept my thanks for your service.
Likewise! Back at you!
